Shower Grates Cleaning Guide
Clean and Care for Organic Brushed Brass shower grates
Our Organic Brushed Brass shower grate is a raw material kept in its natural, uncoated state. Due to its organic nature, the brushed brass will develop a unique patina over time. To maintain the golden appearance, regular cleaning is recommended.
To best maintain the shower grate, regularly clean it with mild soapy water and a soft microfibre cloth weekly, ensuring the grate is completely dry before returning it to the channel. Microfibre cloths are effective at lifting and removing dust and grime without scratching the surface. Avoid using harsh chemicals, including acidic, caustic, or abrasive cleaners ( we only recommend Brasso or a gentle abrasive cleaner if you prefer the shower grate to retain the golden shine). Avoid using brushes, scrubbing sponges, Scotch-Brite, steel wool, or abrasive sponges, as this can damage the surface of the grate.
Regular wiping away traces of soap and stains with a dry cloth will help prevent watermarks from appearing.
If the designed finish is the golden shine, this can be restored with a gentle abrasive cleaner like Brasso. Before using any store-bought or natural brass cleaning product, we recommend testing it on a small section of the shower grate to ensure compatibility.
We recommend removing the shower grate before cleaning the shower area with cleaning agents to prevent any overspray or dripping.

Clean and care guide for Stainless Steel shower grates
Our stainless steel shower grates are crafted from 306 brushed stainless steel. The 306 stainless steel performs exceptionally well in humid environments and is renowned for its superior corrosion resistance.
We select this particular grade of stainless steel for its exceptional durability and strength. We designed a shower grate to be a one-off investment and to last for the life of your bathroom.
To best maintain the shower grate, clean it regularly with mild, soapy water and a soft microfibre cloth, ensuring it is completely dry before returning it to the channel. Microfibre cloths are effective at lifting and removing dust and grime without scratching the surface. Avoid using harsh chemicals, including acidic, caustic, or abrasive cleaners. Avoid using brushes, scrubbing sponges, Scotch-Brite, steel wool, or abrasive sponges, as this can damage the surface of the grate and cause corrosion.
Stainless steel is much more resistant to rust or staining, but tea staining can still occur. Tea staining appears as a discolouration spot on the stainless steel; if this happens, a domestic stainless steel cleaner is usually enough to remove the stains. We recommend testing the product on a small section of the shower grate first to make sure it’s compatible.
We would recommend that you remove the shower grate before cleaning the shower area with cleaning agents to prevent overspray or dripping.

Clean and care guide for Chrome Plated Brass shower grates
Chrome plated – Chrome plated, Matte black, and Chrome plated brass
Our chrome-plated brass shower grates feature the most durable finish. We recommend using the same cleaning process as for our electroplated shower grates.
To best maintain the chrome-plated shower grates, clean them with warm, soapy water and a soft microfibre cloth. Microfibre cloths effectively lift and remove dust and grime without scratching the surface. Avoid harsh chemicals, including acidic, caustic, or abrasive cleaners. Do not use scouring pads, Scotch-Brite, steel wool, or abrasive sponges and brushes, as they may damage the plating. We recommend rinsing thoroughly once a week to wash away soap residue. Allow the shower grate to dry completely and wipe it with a microfibre cloth to prevent water spots and streaks.
We suggest removing the shower grate before cleaning the shower area with cleaning agents to prevent overspray or dripping.

Clean and care guide for Electroplated shower Grates
Electroplate Plated – Iron Bronze
Electroplating is a process of coating the shower grate to produce an Iron Bronze finish with a liquid metal layer. This creates a durable coating that is commonly used in the industry.
To best maintain the electroplated shower grates in good condition, clean them using soap and water with a soft microfibre cloth. Microfibre cloths are effective at lifting and removing dust and grime without scratching the surface. Avoid harsh chemicals, including acidic, caustic, or abrasive cleaners. Refrain from using scouring pads, Scotch-Brite, steel wool, or abrasive sponges and brushes, as they may damage the plating. We suggest rinsing thoroughly once a week to remove soap residue. Allow the shower grate to dry completely with a microfibre cloth to prevent water spots and streaks.
We recommend removing the shower grate before cleaning the shower area with cleaning agents to prevent overspray or dripping.
