Strip Grate VL is a slim shower channel drain and grate designed to be sleek and unobtrusive. It is available in 750mm, 900mm, 1200mm, 1500mm, and 2250mm kits that can be cut to length or joined together.
Our organic brushed brass is a raw material that comes in its natural, uncoated state. Natural brass will develop a patina over time, appearing more aged in colour. To maintain the beautiful golden colour of the organic brushed brass, regular cleaning with a soft microfibre cloth and mild dish soap is recommended.
Regularly wiping away traces of soap and stains with a dry cloth will help prevent watermarks from appearing. Avoid using harsh chemicals, brushes, and scrubbing sponges, as this can damage the surface. It’s best to stick with soft cleaning materials only.
Before using any store-bought or natural brass cleaning products, we recommend testing them on a small section of the grate to ensure compatibility.

Our strip grate is very easy for any tradesperson to install. Simply cut the grate to size, glue the end caps and spigot in place, and then install it in the shower base.
The tiler then runs a screed up to it. The waterproofer waterproofs over the screed and over the grate system, which has a 20mm flange. Then, it’s ready for tiling. Once tiled, select the right spacers to raise the grate to the tile height.
Another popular feature is the breakaway upstand, which enhances waterproofing and allows you to tile against the wall. You can also break off the upstand and locate the grate away from the wall.
All of our strip grates have been designed with a 20mm flange, allowing the collection channel to be waterproofed into place. The collection channel in our strip grate kits easily glues together and becomes part of your plumbing system by connecting directly to your 50mm PVC S-trap.
