Our strip grate is very easy for any tradesperson to install. Just cut the grate to size, glue the end caps and spigot in place, and then fit it into the shower base.
The tiler then runs a screed up to it. The waterproofer waterproofs over the screed and the grate system, which has a 20mm flange. It’s then ready for tiling. Once tiled, choose the right spacers to raise the grate to tile height.
Another popular feature is the breakaway upstand, which improves waterproofing and lets you tile against the wall. You can also break off the upstand and position the grate away from the wall.
All of our strip grates feature a 20mm flange, which enables the collection channel to be waterproofed in place. The collection channel in our strip grate kits easily bonds together and integrates into your plumbing system by connecting directly to your 50mm PVC S-trap.
