Our strip grate is quite simple for any tradesperson to install. Just cut the grate to size, glue the end caps and spigot in place, and then fit it in the shower base.
The tiler then runs a screed up to it. The waterproofer applies waterproofing over the screed and the grate system, which has a 20mm flange. After that, it’s ready for tiling. Once tiled, choose the appropriate spacers to raise the grate to tile height.
Another popular feature is the breakaway upstand, which improves waterproofing and lets you tile up to the wall. You can also detach the upstand and position the grate away from the wall.
All our strip grates feature a 20mm flange, enabling the collection channel to be waterproofed in place. The collection channel in our strip grate kits easily adheres together and integrates into your plumbing system by directly connecting to your 50mm PVC S-trap.
